The curriculum of Digital Analytics and Optimization did a great job of tying together many digital marketing concepts learned throughout the course. It offered the opportunity to apply them practically through real-world applications. For the final project, this course will serve as a guide not only for structuring my presentation but also for reviewing what I have completed and identifying ways to optimize it.

This month's coursework helped me learn how to formulate a cohesive digital marketing plan for Soleciety, a Tampa-based sneaker boutique. I had to understand how different elements work together, and I developed an analytics initiative tailored to my project company. This allowed me to delve deeper into the aspects of the initiative as they relate to a real-world example, enabling me to draw meaningful analysis and create strategies based on that rather than hypotheticals. It also allowed me to revisit SMART goals, which were introduced earlier in the program. Applying them to a scenario similar to one I might encounter professionally provides practical experience that aligns with my desired industry.

I've developed a clearer understanding of what is required in the sections of the DMP. Under "Overall Goals and Objectives," I will establish goals that focus on the overall success of the brand. These may be based on revenue, expansion, or other areas that are ultimately supported by marketing. Under "Marketing Goals and Objectives," I will outline the steps necessary to execute an effective marketing plan that aligns with and advances those broader objectives. Under "Evaluation, Control, and Continuous Improvement," I will describe the processes needed to build on progress, measure results, and correct any missteps as they arise.

This course has helped me distinguish between overall goals and marketing goals, and it has strengthened my ability to evaluate both my work and that of my peers. As for what else needs to be learned, that is where continuous improvement comes in. I believe that practice makes perfect, and by consistently applying the knowledge gained in this course, I will continue to grow as a marketer and produce a more cohesive final project.
